Once your SAP marks you complete, the next step is a return to duty test. This must be handled correctly so your results are properly reported.

Step 5 is where drivers get often get stuck after the SAP process.
All states required the RTD test (Step 5) to be completed to avoid or restore a CDL downgrade.

- No C/TPA can remove a violation from the Clearinghouse. Passing the RTD test removes the restriction, not the violation.
- Step 6 cannot be completed until you are working in a safety sensitive role, unless you are an owner operator
